Over 30 years ago, I launched my career as a financial advisor in a small cubby hole workstation right next to the copy machine in a small investment advisory firm in Baton Rouge, LA. Growing up in a large family, the third of six kids, where money was always tight, my initial attraction to the industry was to become valuable to others by developing my knowledge and experience around investments, as planning wasn't very prevalent in those days.But with every passing client engagement, I realized that in some way, shape or form, people were all turning to me looking for their own personal version of the same thing: Confidence.
