My primary role at Genie Industries was a Machine Operator. As part of this role, I painted, ran the wheel-a-brator, washed parts, water strider, and pulled parts from the baking oven which the painted parts were curing in. The Machine Operator meant that I could do all the jobs in the department without supervision and could teach others. During my tenure at Genie, I also participated in one Kaizen which the group was able to streamline the process of adding decals to the units by fabricating fixtures to assure the decals would go on the same spot of each unique unit all the time.
