My current role gets me involved in all aspects computing used in the education environment. The products and services required are really no different than that of the commercial environment taking advantage of all available technologies that go to offer a secure, robust and highly available computing platform utilising both on premise and cloud based.I am there for every step of the project from birth to the signing off by the customer. I help determine the needs and requirements, the design, the deployment, the testing, the hand-off and finally the ongoing improvements and upgrades.Of late due to the rapid shift to cloud based computing I am primarily specialising the Microsoft cloud offering specifically Azure and Office 365. To date I have completed >100 installations for high schools, primary schools and small businesses comprising 100,000s of seats. These installations have proved to be of a massive benefit to the customers who in turn are now requesting further functionality offered by these platforms.
