• After more than 37 years on the food and beverage industry “plant floor”, I am moving out on my own. • Duessel Services, LLC is my consulting company. Over the 30 years with Coca-Cola and 7 years with A&W Brands, I have held a lot of different roles. I have been a lab tech, a regional manager, a quality manager, a national quality manager, a project manager, a project engineer, and a sanitarian. • I have managed people at many levels and in both Union and Non-Union environments. I have worked on the plant floor for three different companies. I have worked in corporate management for three different companies. • No matter the working environment, our people are the most valuable company asset. The most valuable time that I spend in any plant is time on the plant floor with the people doing the work. That is where the action is. • My approach to plant floor analysis and problem-solving can be summarized as follows: o You can observe a lot by just watching. (credit to Yogi Berra) o You standardize before you optimize. o Sometimes you slow down to go fast. o Never let perfection get in the way of progress.• All my roles leveraged my industry knowledge, technical skills, and leadership abilities to drive my project responsibilities to successful completion. • Sometimes those projects were straightforward like line start-ups, new product launches or implementing a new technology on the plant floor. Other times, I utilized my skills and abilities to root cause and solve serious process issues before they impacted the brand. • I am an experienced and professional traveler. I am Hilton Diamond, Hertz Presidents Circle and a Delta Million Miler.
