Responsible for project management and coordination of the development and delivery of Tearfund’s Fragile States Corporate Priority. This included internal coordination across the organisation of all activities pertaining to the Fragile States component of the corporate strategy: stakeholder management (including senior leadership across the organisation), budget management, development of outcomes and objectives, monitoring and evaluation, internal communications, and external content development, corporate focal point. Involved regular cross-organisational collaboration.Also acted as thematic advisor/consultant to Tearfund’s country teams: strategy and project development, project management of work packages, lead of guidelines development and production). Since 2020, particular focus on providing internal consultancy to enable Tearfund country teams to deliver “integrated programmes” combining multiple thematic initiatives coherently.

Lead person on grant acquisition and end-to-end grant cycle management for Tearfund Iraq’s donor funding and ensuring compliance in delivering all projects. Tearfund’s Iraq grant portfolio consisted of between 8 and 12 active grants at any one time, and usually entailed multiple proposal and reporting processes occurring simultaneously. As a member of the Senior Management Team, supported the Country Director in management of the programme and supported the Location teams in the design, management and delivery of projects. Acted as a focal point for project related information within the team, across Tearfund globally, and in representing Tearfund in inter-agency fora and to government donors. Provided oversight of all Monitoring and Evaluation for the Tearfund Iraq programme.

Supported knowledge management for Disaster Response across the organisation and ensured that lessons learnt from previous responses were documented and applied to future responses. Reviewed and updated of Tearfund’s Emergency Response Procedures. Capacity development of Tearfund staff in emergency response technical skills.

Nepal

Provided additional programme capacity to the Nepal Earthquake Response Team in designing, developing and implementing recovery and reconstruction projects for earthquake affected people in Nepal. Supported the Response Manager in partner management, quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation, and compliance. Focal point for internal and external communications
