Having always been captivated by voices, asking "Who’s that talking as the animated character?” “Who’s narrating this show?”, I was surprised to discover DUSTIN HOFFMAN portraying a character on an LP(!) version of “Death of a Salesman” when I was a kid. I would go on to work with him as well as other veteran storytellers including MARTIN SCORSESE, BILL MURRAY, and PAUL NEWMAN.This caliber of talentwd storytellers nurtured my skills to perform voice overs for character, commercial, promotional, video, animation, narration, IVR, and eLearning projects.As my career thrived, Internet colossus InterActiveCorp (IAC) came calling. There, I proposed we rachet up our animation, eCard, and video product using voice overs, reasoning it would be a better user experience and pump up revenue.“Excellent! We need it now! the creative director said. “Great!” I thought. There was only one problem…we had no audio equipment. However, coming from the SIDNEY LUMET “Find a Way or Make a Way” school, I grabbed my headset, plugged it into a computer’s mic port and spoke into it, recording a zany character on the hard disk. It worked and we were in business!I opened the VO department (with professional equipment of course) and ran it, writing scripts, creating characters, and voicing more than 50 animated shorts, including “One Minute Musicals.” The eCard product became #1 in its category, and key to generating MILLIONS in revenue.Today, I work out of my PROFESSIONAL STUDIO recording and editing BROADCAST QUALITY voice overs.
