With more than 30 years’ experience in military and project leadership roles, I served as Engineer Procurement Construction, Business Development and Senior Project Manager for Burns & McDonnell’s Aviation & Federal division, where I am responsible for planning, programming and design charrettes, design and construction document preparation, full-time construction representative, construction claims analysis, negotiations, change order evaluation and program management. Along with performing quality assurance, quality control, construction projects management, design project management, design-build project management and execution, I have led planning or design charrettes for a variety of clients. As a charrette manager, I’ve successfully translated client needs and project technical requirements into coherent, dynamic visions for project planning and execution. My facilitation skills during the charrette process enhance the exploration of design opportunities and development of comprehensive site and building solutions. I’ve also been involved in projects across the country for the Army National Guard, serving as programmer and charrette manager, and because of this I am thoroughly familiar with ARNG requirements and procedures at state and national program levels. This includes the ARNG Design Guides, NG Pamphlet 415-12, NG Regulation 415-5 and associated UFCs. I’ve provided support through the annual ARNG 1390/1391 workshops for all 54 states and territories.
