Key contributions in urban-scale building simulation, stock modelling, energy system modelling, data analysis, signal processing and numerical modelling.• Urban-scale building thermal simulation, using automated parametrisation and georeferencing of GIS and large scale survey data• Pattern recognition, clustering and statistical analysis of large smart meter datasets to assess building-user energy demand behaviour• Data analytics for energy research – analysis of large multi-sensor datasets, dashboard & schema development, cleaning, annotation and metadata protocol development• Integrated renewable and storage system modelling, demand flexibility modelling

Reporting to the regional discipline director, my role at Buro Happold was to contribute tothe client’s requirements for mechanical systems, to establish detail contractual obligations for the main building contractor. Whilst at Buro Happold, I progressed through the graduate training programme, was promoted to engineer, and gained valuable experiences from secondments to the computational modelling group (COSA) and the Buro Happold Warsaw office. My responsibilities in this role included the following:• Delivery of designs, energy simulation models, reports, specifications, calculations and engineering drawings;• Project delivery at scheme and detail design stages, followed by billing, tender and warrant packages;• Engagement with engineers, clients, architects and specialists for developing and delivering design packages;• Construction site engineering role, overseeing mechanical systems installations, commissioning and technical documentation reviews;• Energy Performance Certification (EPC) modelling, including appraisals for low / zero-carbon schemes.
