Pete Morrell is a senior IT Test professional, with strong test management and technical experience. Pete has full SDLC project lifecycle coverage, including budgeting, resourcing, project management and requirements gathering through development, deployment and production support. Improving and enabling quality at all stages is a passion.Pete’s main focus of work is Test Management, whilst remaining hands-on as an experienced tester. Pete has managed multidisciplinary business Test and technical Test teams of up to 15 to test and validate solutions in business and engineering environments• Under Agile and V model/ Waterfall methodologies• Utilising test management tools such as HP Quality Centre (QC)/ QTP/ HP-ALM, JIRA, Zephyr• Automated tools such as UFT, Selenium and Squish• At all Test levels, from development through system and acceptance testing to deployment• Incorporating CMMI maturity assessment, strategy, planning, scripting, scenario analysis and trainingPete communicates with executives and technicians alike at the ‘right’ level, and has a high degree of initiative, commitment and self-motivation. Pete has defined, agreed and implemented SOPs for testing on greenfield client sites, and software development environments.Most recently, Pete’s work has been in System Engineering teams where he has managed test teams to verify and validate requirements through the IVVQ cycle using DOORS. In the Rail industry, Pete has led Control Centre and Trackside deployment under Possession Management, controlled with Work Package Plans, Method Statements and Task Briefs.
