Pete Petersen is the former CEO and Managing Partner of Dealers United and co-Founder, CEO and Managing Partner of BuyerBridge. Pete is a passionate and creative leader with a proven track record of team building, innovation, go-to-market and driving results.Prior to joining Dealers United, Petersen was a member of S-One Holdings Leadership Team which is responsible for strategic planning, culture, tactical implementation and profitability. Petersen was also the CIO for S-One Holdings responsible for aligning technology with all S-One companies business objectives. Petersen founded his first network company, FireWall Group, in Sarasota, FL. Petersen sold the FireWall Group in order to pursue his passion for IT fulltime by starting LexJet’s IT department in 2003.Committed to philanthropy and community, Petersen serves on Gulf Coast Community Foundation and Gulf Coast CEO Forum Board of Directors. Pete co-Founded Sarasota.Tech in 2023 to help promote the regions diverse set of technology focused companies while helping tech entrepreneurs get locally connected to the Sarasota/Bradenton region. Pete & his family created Team Petersen Foundation to make an impact financially on the Sarasota region through philanthropic giving. Pete serves on several private company Board of Directors, advises entrepreneurs and founders, and invests in early stage local tech companies. Petersen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. Graduate of County College of Morris with an Associate in Business Administration and an Internetworking Engineer degree from PcAge. He is also holds a Master Certificate in IS/IT Project Management from Villanova University.
