National City Merchant Services was a small group (60-75 employees) within Bank of America Merchant Services that was created after a long term contract was signed between Bank of America and National City. This group supported National City Bank's business clients by providing comprehensive merchant services solutions to meet their processing needs. Individually, I was responsible for supporting the National City Bank branches in the Central Illinois market, which included Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Peoria, Decatur and Springfield. I also opened markets in Southern Florida when National City Bank acquired banks in that area. In addition, I also supported the Quad Cities, Rockford, Chicago and St. Louis markets when needed.
