Responsible for all legal matters for Suncor Energy's Exploration & Production Division BU (East Coast Offshore, UK, Norway, Libya, Syria, Australia, Conventional Onshore). Lead all acquisitions and divestitures, provided legal and commercial support for major commercial negotiations, including development projects, exploration program, procurement and regulatory compliance. Provided strategic advice relating to joint venture management both internationally and domestically. Responsible for litigation management and internally reporting and stakeholder engagement.Legal oversight for Suncor's interest in the significant projects including Hebron development, Golden Eagle development (UK), Terra Nova FPSO turnaround, Hibernia expansion, White Rose expansion, Buzzard expansion (UK), offhsore exploration and Suncor's conventional and shale assets in North America.

Reporting directly to the CFO, performed the role of Chief Risk Officer and designed the overall corporate risk management framework for Cenovus following the split from EnCana Corporation. Managed the areas of Market Risk, Credit, Mid-Office Compliance, Enterprise Risk, Risk Reporting and Corporate Insurance. Reported directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

Performed various roles within legal function following the amalgamation that created EnCana Corporation, including managing the corporate insurance program and ensuring all procurement activities were consistent with the corporate risk retention philosophy. Senior Counsel, International Commercial Services - providing legal support for all major offshore and international development projects. Senor Counsel Corporate - primary legal support for acquisitions and divestitures group.

Initially hired as financial analyst, reporting to the CFO, as an intern for the Master of Business Administration program. Subsequently hired as a legal counsel to assist with acquisitions and divestitures related to the development of AEC International. Subsequently provided legal support for all acquisitions, divestitures and new basin entries, exploration matters and development projects.
