After graduating from the Yale School of Epidemiology and Public Health within the Yale School of Medicine with an advanced degree in Hospital Administration/ Public Health, I became Associate Director of a Hospital as well as CEO of HMOs, a Life and Health Insurance Company and a corporation that developed and sold managed care systems nationally. I received a Clinical Appointment from the Yale School of Medicine as a Lecturer at the School of Epidemiology and Public Health, published various articles on the changing medical marketplace as well as one on the Evolutionary Development and Direction of Managed Care Systems, and published an essay at Yale on Centralization of Clinical Laboratories. Prior to receiving my MPH/MHA I obtained a Masters in U.S. Economic History from New York University.In the early 1980s, I was a part of a study group sent to observe the Canadian Health Care System. I observed the serious effect this form of socialized medicine had on the quality and cost of medical care and found, that under this government controlled program, specific diseases had higher morbidity and mortality rates than were found in the United States. In 1994, I was interviewed by the New York Times for a featured article on my views pertaining to the adverse effects that President Clinton’s proposal for health care would have had on the quality and cost of medical care. In 2012 I wrote a position paper entitled "Everything You Wanted to Know About Obamacare and Did Not Know What to Ask." In 2013 I wrote a paper reviewing the serious cost increases and fines small corporations were facing under Obamacare and how these regulations adversely affected their hiring and growth. The article also detailed how to avoid some of the serious pitfalls.
