Dr. Peter Abelow is a graduate of New York's High School of Music and Art (1962), CCNY (1967) and Brooklyn Law School (1971). He served as General Studies Principal of Ohr Torah High School in New York from 1974-1984, as Educational Director of Student Activities at the Ramaz School in NY (1984-1986) and Principal of the Beth Tefiloh Community High School in Baltimore, MD (1986 - 1990) before making aliyah with his wife and four children in 1990. Peter is a licensed tour guide and a one of the directors of Keshet, the Center for Educational Tourism in Israel. Prior to aliya, he lectured to fellow educators at numerous CAJE (Coalition for Advancement of Jewish Education) Conferences. He is a contributor to the Hadassah Magazine Jewish Parenting Book and writes the Israel Tourism Column for the quarterly Orthodox Union Jewish Action magazine. In his spare time, he is part of Israel's premier English speaking theater company, ENCORE, and has appeared on the Jerusalem stage in a number of Broadway musicals.
