I am an automotive engineering graduate, with a keen interest in all aspects of the automotive industry and experience working in both the motorsport and road car aspects.So far I have a broad experience predominantly based around the chassis system, having worked on suspension systems, air to air cooling devices, compliant mounts, brakes & actuation and most recently EPAS systems.I am very motivated to develop the knowledge I already have in these areas, but I would also like very much like to expand my portfolio and work in areas not yet experienced. I'm always on the lookout for my next challenge!

Brake SystemsTeam Bath Racing Feb 2014 - Jun 2015I spent my final 2 years of university working as part of the Formula Student Team, working initially on suspension system design then latterly and primarily brake system development, where I was responsible for the complete brake system on the 2015 entry, from actuation to the caliper/disc.My final year dissertation was focused on robustly modelling brake lining temperatures, which I conducted alongside the vehicle development, in order to deliver the most lightweight and efficiently capable system for competition. -
Industrial Placement Student - ChassisBentley Motors Ltd Jul 2012 - Oct 2013Crewe, United Kingdom15 months spent with Bentley Motors investigating the thermal conditions seen by elastomeric chassis components and proposing cooling solutions where there might be a need.During the placement, the project progressed from collecting and analysing temperature data right through to having a concept developed by the use of design reviews and various other tools into a cooling package that could manage the temperature of the component concerned, whilst satisfying, assembly, manufacturing, weight and cost requirements. -
Work Experience StudentIng Renault F1 Team Jun 2008 - Jul 2008Enstone, Uk2 weeks work experience spent with the Renault Formula 1 Team, with two main pieces of work being undertaken. The first was using lap simulation software to investigate how the lateral offset of a weight in the front wing would alter the car's handling characteristics and could ultimately be used to improve lap times. The second project was examining the regulations for the coming year, to propose areas that could be best exploited for the development of the next year's car.
