Responsible for development af the Sailor portfolio within Cobham SATCOM. This includes market analysis both in relation to user needs and commercial potential. Today the products within my area are all maritime and basically covered by the SOLAS with the need to adapt to this regulated environment. Consequently an important skill is understanding and influencing the work done within IMO and classification societies for regulation of the product and carrige requirements for international shipping.Started the work on fully integrated communication system, including development of related standards. The project included AIS, NAVTEX, GNSS and a control panelODM project manager for the full project from RFQ, over contract to the final fully type approved product. The ODM partner was a very competent Chinese copany within communication electronics.
