Contributing to the promotion of evidence based current best practice in paediatrics in developing countries to help reduce infant mortality. My volunteer role is to advise re course articulation and formal collaborations, contribute to international meetings, assist with grant applications and information provision regarding the course, assist with developing alumni relations and provide advice on legal and organizational issues. Developing countries have the world’s highest child mortality rate and skilling up medical personnel with current paediatric medical knowledge is an integral part of the strategy to reduce this.

Giving a voice to people living with dementia and their families to increase community awareness about dementia, to improve policy and service delivery, and the quality of life for all people living with dementia.

Provide consumer advice and feedback on a range of issues related to advocacy, policy and service delivery for people with dementia, their carers and families. The NSW Consumer Advisory Groups work within the context of the AlzNSW Dementia Advocates Program as well as the AlzNSW Consumer Engagement and Stakeholder Engagement Strategies that provide broad strategic direction on the role of consumer participation in the organisation’s day to day activities. The NSW Consumer Advisory Groups ensure that the work of AlzNSW is informed, relevant, appropriate and targeted.
