Peter is an architect, planner and urban designer with extensive experience in urban planning, architecture and urban design for both private and public sector clients. Prior to commencing Peter Andrews + Associates Pty Ltd, Peter spent 10 years in senior positions in local government responsible for planning of urban release programs and associated physical and human infrastructure, open space and landscape planning and community planning. Peter Andrews + Associates Pty Ltd was a founding partner of a successful multidisciplinary design consultancy for over 20 years, during which time Peter held the position of Principal. In 2006 he left to once again concentrate on managing Peter Andrews + Associates Pty Ltd as a consultancy in its own right, and to explore other opportunities in the development field and graphic design.Peter has held many positions on local, regional and state government committees dealing with a variety of design, planning and resource management issues. He has worked on a pro-bono basis on many community projects including the highly successful and internationally recognised Salvation Army Oasis Youth Centre on the NSW Central Coast, and a new primary/secondary school in Zambia.Peter has been actively involved with the UDIA NSW for over 10 years, serving on numerous industry committees and was a UDIA Councillor for 6 years. He is Registered Architect and a Fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia.
