I've had the pleasure to work for and with a great group of people here, and along the way help a small business make a difference in our community.* HR: I established proven hiring and onboarding processes, which facilitated 70+ employee hires and promoted a healthy Company culture, and saved $20k (2017) and 30k+ (2018) through benefit re-bid processes.* Finance: I established proven financial management processes, which helped stabilize the Company and support an 11% increase in sales volume over 3 years.* IT: The efficiency of our operations increased through tech migrations to Office 365 and Dropbox, and ensured safe computing practices through installation and management of AV and MDM software.* Safety: I took the lead to implement our Safety Program, which resulted in a safer work environment for our crew members as well as a 3 year decrease in our Experience Modification Factor. In my role as a Pastor for Marriage and Family, I served our faith community by recruiting and developing leaders and staff to serve our families and their children.Marriage and Family:* I was privileged to serve our faith community as they experienced significant life events, including weddings, funerals, baby dedications, and hospital stays. To enter into a person's joy and celebrate with them, and to enter into a person's pain and empathize with them was a significant and meaningful experience for me.* For several years I led our summer intern program that hired and managed young leaders to facilitate our College Age ministry. Our faith community was experiencing growth, and it was a great time for me to step into a greater leadership role within it. I learned more about serving on the staff of a growing organization, while building a successful team within it.Highlights:*Establishing and Leading our Guest Connection teams: I recruited and developed teams of volunteers for the Welcome Center, Guest Contact Team, Ushers/Greeters, and Hospitality Team; created the Taste of Community event to connect people to our community; taught the Membership and Network seminars.* Managing our newly constructed 107,000 square foot multi-purpose facility and leading the associated staff.* Serving on our Management Team: I collaborated with teammates on day to day management decisions and special projects such as the hiring process, and annual budget.* Providing Staff Leadership: I began to lead our staff meetings as needed, communicating important information using appropriate methods.

My first "adult" job was serving families at a 600 person church in Green Bay. I didn't know much about Green Bay, but found a great church and great community in which to live and raise a family.I developed relationships with high school and middle school students, learned to collaborate with their parents, recruited and developed adult volunteer staff, planned ministry events, managed a departmental budget, and began to learn how to work within a team of organizational staff. Most all firsts for me!

I served on the Howard-Suamico School District Board of Education, collaborating with the team to enact policies and allocate resources to develop all students' full academic potential and to promote their social and emotional growth.Highlights:* I learned about, became a fan of, and operated within Policy Governance in a Board context.* I learned how to understand the complex and maddening method of school district funding.* I learned about TIFs, about teacher's unions, and working with the local Village Boards.* I learned how important is it to establish good relations with community members, state government officials, and teachers and administration.* I learned how passionate people can become about education and experienced it first hand when the Wisconsin Budget Repair Bill was passed in June 2011.

Libertas is based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and is a voluntary adolescent alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility, serving clients from throughout Wisconsin and neighboring states.Highlights:* I gained an empathetic heart as I heard the dark secrets with which many families and their children struggle.* I gained important listening skills while providing 5th step drug and alcohol counseling services for adolescents and adults.* I gained the ability to communicate with a captive audience while providing teaching on what it means to be a spiritual person, and the great meaning one can find when Truth is embraced.

Between my first job and my first step into a career, I worked as a temporary employee at Ameritech. I provided telephone-based customer service for mobile customers throughout the Chicagoland area and supported the efforts of the regular employees.

My first job out of college (thanks Randy!) taught me the importance of customer service and serving people well both over the phone and in person. I answered the phone, created documents, and did whatever I could to add value to the company and sales force.
