In April 2023 I transferred to the public library's technical services department, working with a variety of database technologies including the Evergreen integrated library system (ILS), Springshare's LibApps web based software, Baker & Taylor's Titlesource 360 and Ingram's iPage platforms. My work includes copy and original cataloging, creating purchase orders, invoicing for the library's new acquisitions, ongoing collection development and reference desk assistance.

I worked part time at the library between 2011 and 2013 working on cataloging, ordering new print material, and assisting at the reference desk and circulation desks. I moved to a full time reference librarian role in 2014 and served as interlibrary loan manager until 2023. I also worked as Howe LIbrary's volunteer coordinator from 2014 to 2020. I've been involved in a variety of technology troubleshooting services, as well as assisted with database management, collection development duties, cataloging work, home delivery coordination, and assisting with special events and programs.

I worked on the big top circus tent crew for seven touring seasons. I assisted as a roustabout with theater lighting, seating assembly, carpentry projects, and a variety of odd jobs. I assisted the circus big top tour with operating vehicles, pick-up trucks towing bunkhouse trailers, Bobcat skid steer loaders. Our crew used tools like sledge hammers, socket wrenches, and other tools like pneumatic stake drivers, Tirfor hoists, steel braided cable, and a variety of items that relate specifically to tent rigging.
