Key duties and responsibilities Lecturing management accounting and financial accounting and related courses for: Local Diploma in Accounting & Finance Programme; Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) UK level 3 Diploma in accounting & Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) UK Level 4 Advanced Diploma in accounting Responsible for the design, content and delivery of specific areas of teaching and learning and for the quality of teaching delivered; ensure that teaching content is appropriately informed by current research and advanced scholarly activity. Collaborate with colleagues in the continuous review and development of the department’s programmes. This includes design of short courses and trainings. Established contacts within the wider business community; disseminate knowledge through different business activities and forums which enhanced the reputation of the Business academy. As a certified SYIB Trainer, I undertook trainings of small and medium sized entrepreneurs on; Generate your Business idea (GYB), Start your Business (SYB) and Improve your Business (IYB) Programs Took part in relevant committees e.g. academic committee, social committee, strategic planning committee, accreditation committee and other working groups at the academy Act as academic tutor and mentor to students as allocated by the Head of Department and act as first line contact for them for advice and support on academic matters, ensuring that students are directed to relevant support services when necessary. Supervise student projects and placements as appropriate

Key roles; Invoicing-issuing of import, export and detention invoices to clients. Cashiering – receiving payments and issuing of receipts to clients. Banking- depositing daily checks and cash collection to the respective bank accounts. Credit check- this is the verification of the respective client’s accounts to ensure that the customer accounts are clean before approving the issuance of theshipping documents (delivery orders and bill of ladings) Petty cash management Bank reconciliations.
