Maintaining, repairing, updating and auditing technical documents (such as: Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) technical manuals, Command and Control System technical manuals, Ships Systems Manuals, Posted Information Plates, Alteration packages, drawings, CD ROMs, NAVSEA and Submarine Maintenance Engineering and Planning and Procurement Activity (SUBMEPP)) during Trident refits.· Analyzing alteration and refit schedules to identify the nature and scope of the work to be performed.· Briefing high level personnel (such as: Squadron personnel, Naval Submarine Support Center (NSSC), Captains, Executive Officers) regarding technical changes made to the data onboard Trident class submarines.· Reporting all LTD changes, discrepancies and replacements performed onboard each refit, Major Maintenance Periods (MMP) and ERO via an End of Refit Letter.

Responsible for the coordination of all facets of maintenance and material management (3-M) systems aboard a TRIDENT nuclear powered submarine. - Implements, evaluates and coordinates the ship's planned maintenance systems (PMS). - Operates and manages the ship's maintenance data system (MDS). - Serves as the ship's availability manager.The Ships' 3-M System is designed to provide for managing maintenance and maintenance support to achieve maximum equipment operational readiness. The ship's 3-M System is the nucleus for managing maintenance aboard all ships and applicable shore station equipment. This system provides all maintenance and material managers throughout the Navy with a process for planning, acquiring, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the manpower and material resources used to support maintenance. As a management tool, the Ships' 3-M System provides efficient and uniform methods of conducting and recording preventive, alterative and corrective maintenance as well as allowing easy access to collected data.

Supervised and managed a division of 14 personnel. Prepared evaluations, training plans, qualification-certification, conducted training lectures for technical topics ranging in complexity from equipment configuration and repair, casualty procedures, to theory and principals of operation and function. Facilitated seminars and presentations in personnel topics including career management, regulations, ethics, labor relations, and personal conduct. Provided status reports to Senior Executives on all aspects of equipment and personnel. Supervised and maintained statistical data, including equipment performance metrics. Interpreted and made recommendations for this data used for executive level decision-making.

Performed duties as Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector and Assistant Quality Assurance Officer, maintaining SUBSAFE and LEVEL 1 certifications. Qualified QA inspector and performed material and procedural inspections. Provided technical direction in the planning of technical work projects, including generating test schematics and researching acceptance criteria, and executing numerous retests, including visual, vacuum, operational, and hydrostatic tests. Developed detailed specifications and plans for repair, testing and certification. Ensured all records were maintained flawlessly.
