CAD Drawing OfficeMain duties include scheduling and rostering resources for the drawing office, training new staff, maintaining quality standards through rigorous checking processes. Drawing work using CAD in both Raster & Vector formats, also three dimensional and rendered drawings.Responsible for setting up a network CAD machines and large format printers, during which time I have maintained and up-graded the system from Unix to Windows XP, maintaining software packages and licenses up to date.Coordinating and translating information between all forms of CAD package, and from other sources such as scanned drawings from non CAD sources.Chief Fire Marshall and One Planet Ambassador (environmental advisory position) for Tunbridge Wells and Chatham Offices. Managing the system and network of the drawing office computer systems, printers, plotters, scanners & serversOperation of scanner software to input hand drawn documents and drawings onto the computer system.Troubleshooting problems within the drawing office, re-building both hardware and software to keep the equipment and staff running at full potential to keep both customers and internal clients satisfied. Use of Microsoft Project and other Office software to run the drawing office.Co-ordination of Bid Drawings and GIS interface for large MOD PFI contract bid leading up to contract start.Annual Relay Testing at Kingsnorth and Grain Power stations, testing and maintaining electro-mechanical relays, and writing the test report.
