About Peter Ashworth
I am a highly motivated and hard working security analyst seeking a cyber security analyst position to apply my problem solving skills to find vulnerabilities in systems and networks, and use this to reduce risks. I recently finished the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate, and I am currently studying for my OSCP.I have recently acquired the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate. I have learned about the foundation of cybersecurity, and the NIST cybersecurity domains. I learned networking which I found to be very interesting and will deep dive into more areas after I have completed the certificate. I gained experience using cybersecurity tools such as SQL, Linux, Python, SIEM, network protocol analyser, and IDS. I have also learned how to manage assets, threats, and vulnerabilities. I have also learned about the incident response process and tools. As software has become more essential there are more ways for malicious actors to attack. I want to help protect people and organisations from threat actors. Even though I have already learned a lot, I want to learn more as the domain of cybersecurity is huge.In addition to certification, I keep up with current trends and cybersecurity news so that I am aware of new threats as they evolve. I am also practising CTF as my intention is to become an accomplished penetration tester. There are areas that I am very interested in including malware analysis, penetration testing, and digital forensics.
