Managed the offshoring of the retirement practice’s actuarial valuation work to its captive in Bangalore, India. The project included a review of domestic valuation practices, development of standard practices, recruiting and training of Bangalore team, and transition to a new valuation system. In this role, reported to the Executive Vice President and Chief Actuary. Marketed the retirement practice’s administration services, developed new offerings (retirement modeling tools, call center, etc.), and led an onsite actuarial data review project for California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) and an online retirement choice project with a financial planning call center for a privately-held, family-owned food company.

Administered health and welfare and defined benefit (DB) plans for clients with annual revenues of $5 - $9 million, ensured client satisfaction, prepared budgets, managed the profitability of the accounts, and marketed new services to HRO clients, including Rolls-Royce, Thomson, and US Airways. Counseled DB Work Group on administration systems enhancements, reviewed beta systems with development teams, and was the primary liaison with the Account team.
