Responsible for developing GLHs’ Great Tenants service which supports people with learning disabilities to make choices about where, with whom and how they wish to live their lives. Also lead on Programme Management and Delivery of GLH's social investment bond £7M housing acquisition programme in 2013.

North East England & North Yorkshire

Peter introduced a performance management framework with regular reporting to the Executive Board on neighbourhood performance and good practice. Through thorough development planning, he has reduced housing turnover in the worst neighbourhoods by 20% and repair costs by £1M. As the regeneration manager he has also achieved a 4% reduction in arrears and turnover across the board by implementing and evaluating local neighbourhood plans.

Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom

Developed and managed the regeneration of Walker Riverside in the East of Newcastle in partnership with Newcastle City Council. He renegotiated strategic partnering agreements and site development framework for 1600 units with Newcastle City Council including commercial house building margins and profit sharing. Achievements include:• Developed £14M commercially viable and sustainable new housing for sale, intermediate and affordable rent.• Undertook place making, including designing a new district centre and associated services integration, new residential schemes and green spaces.

Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom

A senior manager position:• Developed and implemented the Council’s flagship Area Action Plan for Walker Riverside – one of the first in the County under the 2004 statutory planning framework. • Established governance, partnering, area planning, and programme/delivery arrangements with private sector house builders for the 20 year regeneration programme covering 6,500 households worth £450M. • Responsible for the development, planning and delivery of three new housing developments incorporating 150 new houses, flats and bungalows by different private and housing association developers.• Managed 9,000 housing units, 400 housing management, community development, and play and youth staff. • Controlled staff budgets, appraisal and personal development of six senior housing managers, a community development manager, and play and youth manager.• Principal officer accountable to the Council’s Area Committees and lead on the Council’s Community Planning Process.• Development and delivery of the Local Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy, chief regeneration lead across the East of the City

Secured funding for the Blakenall, Bloxwich East, and Leamore Round 2 New Deal for Communities £52M programme. Subsequently appointed the management team and consultants, and established the The New Horizons New Deal for Communities BoardDeveloped Walsall’s £40M Single Regeneration Budget programmes (Rounds 2, 4 and 5) including bid preparation, strategic management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation with a combined budget of over £4million in 2000/01
