Measuring on-road emissions of heavy-duty vehicles, analyze data and validate results with legislation limits. Measurements performed using on-road emission measurement system on heavy-duty trucks.

Thesis: ‘Modelling, identification and control design for engine braking’(Physical) modelling of heavy-duty engine dynamics. Based on these models a controller and an algorithm for parameter tuning were developed. In nowadays truck engines the brake power of the engine brake is controlled using the developed controller.

Thesis: ‘Prototype testing of the Electric Variable Transmission’Set up a general test protocol for experiments performed within TNO Automotive and design and execute experiments to prove functionality of a new transmission concept.
