Formula Student is a student engineering competition held annually in the UK. Formula Student Challenges students to design, fabricate, test and compete with small formula style racing cars. teams usually spend 8-12 months designing, building and preparing their vehicle for the competition. these cars are judged in a series of static and dynamic events including technical inspection, cost presentation, engineering design, solo performance trials and high performance endurance. the competition is run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and uses the same rules as the original Formula SAE with supplementary regulations.

The Electric Vehicle Rally(EVER) is an energy efficiency competition. EVER is giving young engineers the opportunity to challenge and asses their technical and creative skills in designing, building and developing an urban concept of an electric vehicle.EVER is a competition aiming to increase the capacity of engineers in Electric Vehicle Industry. The main mission of this competition is to create more interdisciplinary engineering graduates with the needed knowledge, hands-on skills and experience in designing, manufacturing and operating electric vehicles. This is a step needed to create the required human resources to power an electric vehicle industry in Egypt. ​Empowerment of an electric vehicle industry in Egypt could make a huge positive impact on the sustainable development strategy for 2030 vision.Apex Racing Team is one of the teams participating in EVER Egypt and other EV Competitions and it was the team that got the First Place on EVER Egypt 19 Among 15 other Egyptian Universities.The Vehicle Dynamics Sub-Team was supposed to Design, Simulate and Validate then manufacture the Steering System, The Braking System & The Suspension System of the EV that participated in the competition. My Responsibilities as a Vehicle Dynamics Sub-Team Head was : -Lead The Vehicle Dynamics Sub-Team members to make sure they are working efficiently.-Set a Time plan and Make Sure that the team is following it and not deviating. -Motivate the Team Members so we can get the best out of them.-Supervise on the design process of the 3 Sub-Systems to make sure that everything is correctly designed. -Supervise on the manufacturing process to make sure everything is manufactured as required. -Supervise on the Assembly process of the car.-Make sure that the car is complying with the rules imposed from the competition during the Scrutineering phase. -Testing of the Vehicle to make sure it reached the maximum possible Efficiency we can get out of it.

I was Trained for 2 month as a Workshop Engineer at Mercedes-Benz GAS Center. It was a really good step in my career and provided me with some good technical and non-technical knowledge and skills. i helped in an engine overhaul and maintenance of the main vehicle systems like the suspension, braking etc. and also Here are some of the duties of the workshop engineer that i learned there.-Diagnoses and identifies the malfunctions & the technical errors in the car and test it if necessary before proceeding with maintenance-Ensures requesting of the appropriate spare parts according to the faults and required maintenance-Ensures that the technician receives the appropriate spare parts and installing them in the car-Distributes the jobs on the technical team according to the qualifications, responsibilities and technical skills inside the group-Executes maintenance jobs in the minimum time required by the mother company or less-Ensures placing all of the replaced spare parts in the client’s car after the replacement.

Engineering & Manufacturing Facility(EMF) was the Factory supposed to manufacture our Electric Vehicle that will participate in EVER 2019. My training there was about manufacturing our vehicle and make sure everything is manufactured as required. this training period helped me to get closer to the various manufacturing methods and its requirements and also helped me to become a Professional in extracting Engineering Technical Drawings for the parts that will be manufactured.

The Heavy equipment Center was a good leap in my career. Training there helped me understand the main types of heavy equipment and what each equipment is used for then the diesel engine was explained and how it works followed by a Bulldozer Diesel engine overhaul. after that various hydraulic systems with examples of real hydraulic circuits used in the heavy equipment were explained and also the main failures and maintenance approach usually applied in the maintenance of some hydraulic circuits was practically discussed. finally the automatic transmission basics was practically discussed which was followed by a bulldozer transmission overhaul.

This team participates in MATE ROV Competition and it is about building an ROV that can be subjected to an underwater Depth of 15m and is capable of performing some underwater tasks the team members were also responsible of ROV testing to make sure it is properly sealed and that it is performing its tasks efficiently.
