I have recently stepped down from Board and Management roles in Arup to concentrate on project leadership based in Sydney.

In 2017 I was appointed Director of Sustainable Development for Arup Group, with primary responsibility to align Arup’s global business with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I believe we as engineers and designers have a primary responsibility to help create a sustainable future. My vision was for Arup to meaningfully and demonstrably contribute to a sustainable future through a deeper understanding of social, economic and planetary needs, and the development of practical, innovative solutions in the built environment.My role involved development of global strategy, policy, and an implementation plan, and involved the mobilisation of a global coalition of change agents across the globe, all passionate about making a difference. The key ambition was to make Arup relevant to the future.

We have also been recognised as one of Australia's leading private companies in the area of corporate social responsibility by the peak body, Australian Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility, for the last four years.I am on the Arup Regional Diversity Committee, which focuses on staff engagement, development and diversity, and in 2012 I was recognised with the NAWIC Crystal Vision Award for my contribution to the promotion and the participation of women in the construction industry. I am very proud to be the recipient of an award that has been bestowed upon many outstanding advocates for women in this space.In 2011 we launched our Indigenous Employment Strategy, an action based plan to continue to support the communities in which we work and their peoples through recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and history.

During my time as Buildings Practice Leader for the Australasian region of Arup I grew the buildings practice in size and capability, gaining recognition as a market leader.I was responsible for design and management of multidisciplinary projects, with a particular focus on the holistic blend of architecture and engineering to produce sustainable outcomes. I have extensive experience in large public buildings including sports, education and cultural facilities, transport buildings and significant private developments in the commercial buildings sector.Key projects include the award winning Parramatta Transport Interchange (Sydney).

Principal and Leader of the Buildings team in Sydney responsible for all structural, MEP and faҫades consulting engineering work in the Sydney market.Key projects include the award winning Dunc Gray Olympic Velodrome (Sydney), Town Hall Station Upgrade (Sydney) and Angel Place (Sydney).
