My role as Site Manager requires me handle all matters relating to the running of site, currently the main focus of my job relates to Managing apartment blocks . I’m also responsible for the inducting of contractors, operatives and any visitors who attend site. I’m required to regularly report back to the Operations Manager and am involved with client management and progress reporting. I must ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained on site at all times, evaluating all risk assessments and method statements. Alongside this, I hold regular toolbox talks and daily task briefs. I’m also required to manage all trades and sub-contractors who visit site to ensure stringent timescales are kept on track.The role requires a high level of interfacing between internal departments and external agencies, such as Engineers, Construction Workers, Sub-contractors, Client and Site Staff.I’m also involved in the organisation of site and chair regular site progress meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress, quality and safety, ensuring the Operations Manager and Client are updated on all issues. In addition, I also handle the technical aspects of the on and offsite works.
