Sole responsibility for New Product Development, $2 Million budget and manufacturing processes for a new Fuel Injector. Create Stationized planning books on both Pro Engineer & Interleaf 7 to help production and development assemblers build Fuel Injectors. Create 3D Tooling concepts and drawing’s on Pro E. Plan and advise higher management on new process required to build new injectors using Just-In-Time Manufacturing & MRP II concepts. Review and suggest changes for the ease of manufacturing on new conceptual Engineering drawings of Fuel Injectors. Worked on and with Continuous Improvement Teams to help improve Solar’s Manufacturing & producibility problems. (Part Time) (1995 – 1998)Responsible for the design of customer specific automated systems of die eject platforms, automatic work stages, for high end pick and place systems and tooling for integrated COB (chip on board) automated assembly lines. All part models and assemblies are created using Pro Engineer. The systems are create in 3D and are parametric to each other. Other responsibilities are to create engineering drawings of both the part models and assembly models.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Sundstrand Power Systems, San Diego, (1986 – 1991)Responsible for the manufacture of high temperature steel fabricated sheet metal components and assemblies in the combustor portion of the Gas Turbine Engine. Establish manufacturing planning from conceptual engineering sketches, drawings or other sources. Prepare rework planning to bring discrepant production and overhaul hardware back to drawing configuration. Create Operational Aid Instruction sheets to support the shop floor. Analyze production design for the economy of manufacture and incorporation of producibility requirements. Co-ordinate the implementation of design changes.
