CurrentPSFM is a very busy and fast growing non-operative sports medicine and primary care medical practice dedicated to providing high quality and cost effective care. As the Chief Operating Officer, I provide operational and financial management to all aspects of the practice.• Transitioned from an external practice management group to in house management by directly hiring medical and support staff, establishing supplier contacts, and leveraging the Electronic Medical Records system for billing and collections. Implemented HIPAA compliance training program.• Completed transition to an Electronic Medical Records systems, implementing infrastructure changes, training staff and successfully attested to government incentives programs resulting in payments of over $100,000. • Recruited and hired a team of 17 staff, including nurses, front desk reception staff and administration staff.• Increased billing and collections by 30% over previous year, by targeting outstanding accounts, streamlining billing processes, and consolidating billing and collections with the Electronic Medical Records system.• Streamlined and improved processes, resulting in reduced staff and overhead costs and significantly decreased operating costs by 33% over a 6 month period.• Consolidated banking relationship, resulting in the establishment of an operating line of credit equal to 10% of previous year revenue, and negotiated equipment leases for medical and office equipment.
