Hydrosphere Innovations Ltd was started to deliver our water treatment process, Hydrosphere to the construction industry. Hydrosphere is patented in the UK and Australia, with other international patents pending. I developed Hydrosphere out of a need to deliver responsible water treatment solutions to a sector of the construction industry that has had very few technological advances for decades.Using Hydrosphere, we are able to deliver a green process for the pre-commission cleaning of pipework installations that doesn't pump gallons of water down the drain and ensures programme certainty, reduces programme time for our clients and is the only pre-commission cleaning process that does not prematurely damage multi-million-pound installations. Under the banner of Westminster Consultants, I work alongside my clients to provide practical solutions to many of the problems that regularly crop up on water treatment projects. To this end, I have enabled numerous clients to reach logical conclusions as to how a system may have ended up in a poor state. My credentials as a Water Treatment Consultant are unique. I have experience spanning four decades in the pre-commission cleaning market. I sat on the committee for the publication of the original BSRIA guide on pre-commission cleaning of pipework systems, published in 1991 that set a Water Treatment standard for the industry. I started my career on site in the 80's on the tools and rapidly progressed to a point where I was confident I could start a company that would deliver quality results for our clients, Barfield Water Treatment. My ethos still hasn't changed and to this day, my primary objective is to solve any problem, large or small. It is the reason I invented Hydrosphere (above).I have worked on some of the UK's most prestigious projects, from the Chanel Tunnel and the original Broadgate development in the 80's & early 90's to, in more recent years, Consulting on One Hyde Park, following poor water treatment advice and practices and the Lancaster and Langham Hotels, aiding clients in achieving practical completion when water quality has been the cause of significant delays.

Operating nationally Barfield set the standard in providing the construction industry with on-site pre-commission cleaning water treatment services and successfully completed many of the landmark projects of that period.
