About Peter Barron

On leaving the public sector, where I was operations director in social care and commissioning, I took on a range of business, health, education and social care freelance work. The change from public sector to private was refreshing and I believe I have the best of both in my 'toolkit'. I'm continuing to look for interesting challenges in early years, residential child care, education and social/health care, from business development to strategy, business planning, quality assurance and regulatory matters. I am a versatile and experienced strategic manager with a wealth of leadership experience across operational, commissioning and corporate roles. I am energetic, hard working, clear thinking and I have a strong track record of delivery. I believe I inspire loyalty and achieve great results through and with the people I manage. I communicate effectively at board level and work effectively across organisations and with stakeholders. I think strategically and work collaboratively. My management approach is to provide clear personal leadership, setting the highest personal standards within an expectation of performance and empowering the people around me to take responsibility and deliver change.Specialities: Business development, quality assurance including nominated roles for Ofsted and investigations. I aim, through my work, to ensure the organisation or setting with stronger capacities moving forward.y

Listed skills include Change Management, Policy, Public Sector, Performance Management, and 46 others.
