I love developing effective solutions to complex problems, looking for ways to make something work, and not dwelling on why it won't. I am well organised and have an attention to detail and passion that drives me to ensure whatever I produce, or my team produces, is of high quality. In each role I've taken on, I quickly develop strong relationships among my peers, built upon my ability to make the complicated simple, share my skills and experience, empathise with others, and take time to listen and support. I have strong problem-solving skills, solid communication skills and a constant drive for improvement. I like learning new skills and sharing my knowledge with others so that we might have shared success. After joining Ortto as the Head of Quality, I've now moved into Product Management, to really focus on my passion for building great products that help our customers. In the Quality team I was driving an effective and comprehensive Quality Strategy while building out the team 3-fold. I shaped how the team views and measures quality, and developed different ways to improve how and when things are tested. I brought clarity and direction to our development process.Previously I worked at Planit Testing as the Head of Automation for Sydney. I built and lead a strong and diverse team of automation experts (50+) to provide expert test automation services for clients across a broad range of domains, technologies and infrastructure. I worked with senior stakeholders internally and externally to produce test proposals and solutions, test strategies, tool comparisons, return on investment calculations, current-state analysis and more. I was involved in technical sales, building client relationships, training for technical and soft skills, end to end recruitment, career development, employee job satisfaction and I sought to continuously improve the way we work, the office/work culture and environment and ways to enable my team to succeed. In recent years, I have presented at some popular Testing conferences, including CAST in North America, Australian Testing Days in Sydney, CASTx in Melbourne and TestBash in Sydney, and have developed and delivered technical, practical training courses to several groups. I am also actively looking for more opportunities to share my experiences and knowledge with others. For more about my work, how I think about testing and my speaking engagements, see my testing blog at http://thesneakytester.com
