Peter Batini worked at the Disability Services Commission for over 30 years. Peter served as Regional Director of the Commission’s South West and North Metropolitan regions and was the Chief Clinical Psychologist (1987 to 1989). From 2000 to 2012, he contributed to the contract planning, contract formation, contract management, quality assurance and the development of services. Peter was Executive Director of the contracting directorate from early in 2008 to 2012 and then initiated and directed the disability justice service until January 2014.Since January, Peter has been the Manager: Sector Knowledge & Development at Activ Foundation where he provides research, information, analysis and support to the senior management and staff of Activ on: • introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme/ National Disability Insurance Agency into WA;• the state government accommodation services transition project;• other emerging disability related agendas.A Bachelor of Psychology and a Master in Applied Psychology (clinical/ educational), Peter also has completed the Public Sector Executive Development Year (1990), a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD, 2006) and in 1994, completed a Churchill Fellowship in de-institutionalisation and the development of community-based services, visiting the USA and Canada.
