During my time at Bombardier I contributed to various engineering departments on the Global 5000, 6000 business jet platforms. I designed details of auxiliary component installations located in the galleys, workstations, and side-ledges.The majority of my career involved the engineering detailing of aircraft seats where I was group lead for the engineering department. Some of my tasks included overseeing the quality of the designs as Design Authority, interacting with international suppliers concerning flammability issues related to engineering and structural suppliers of the seat mechanicals, contributing to the tracking of key performance indicators for the department as part of the Achieving Excellence program. I was a key player in benching marking companies to study best practices and tooling that were successfully adopted at the seat upholstery department. I headed several projects to optimize design and material selection, requiring inputs from production, purchasing and potential suppliers.Recently I contributed to the integration aspects of seating parameters in the aircraft, creating AutoCAD layouts, issuing supplier specification AMO's (advance material orders) for seat and divan structures, quality checks of certification documents.
