Educational qualifications and experience - I have worked in the financial services industry since 1984, first commencing as a consultant for Norwich Life intheir Adelaide office. In May of 1987 I was accredited as an Financial Adviser and licensed to Norwich AnalysedInvestments Limited, progressing to Financial Planning Investments Limited, the senior Investment advice arm ofNorwich in 1989. I accepted a position with Patrick Whelan Investments in 1993, the same year I completed myaccountancy qualifications and became a member of the National Institute of Accountants. I progressed throughthis firm to the position of Senior Adviser and was company spokesman, being published in Monday Money of theAdvertiser newspaper and appearing on Radio 102.3's weekly investment talk-back program for 3 years. In 2001 Iestablished the first Garrisons investment advice franchise in Adelaide with another senior advisor from PatrickWhelan Investments. This business was sold in 2008 to facilitate the retirement of my business partner.I have competed the required specialist courses to provide financial planning advice. I hold the Associate Diplomaof Accountancy and the Diploma of Financial Services ­ Financial Planning. With my qualifications andexperience, I am well qualified to assist clients to achieve their financial goals.
