As Technology and Security Lifecycle Management Programme Manager I had the responsibility to ensure Value Retail technology was maintained within Vendors Support Lifecycle, remained appropriate to the needs of the business and users, where required upgrade or replace the platforms by managing and leading a small team of project managers. This involved annual build of programme plan and budget by consulting with key business functions and IT colleagues then ongoing management, prioritisation and realignment of the programme and budget.• Upgrade of Village Guest Wifi reengineering from a centralised internet breakout to high speed country specific breakouts• Relocation of Value Retail UK Datacentre .• Complete redesign and replacement of village IT networks including adoption of enhanced security technology.• Expansion of the village IT networks to integrate CCTV and security applications• Upgrades and resilience improvements to village CCTV, access control and PA systems.• Upgrade of physical servers, where appropriate migrating to cloud services. • Responsibility for the delivery of the IT elements of Village Build Projects including 3 significant village extensions.• Upgrades to village footfall counting leading to eventual full replacement.• Migration of Skype for Business to Mircosoft Teams.

The management of key infrastructure upgrade initiatives for 9 Value Retail Villages across EuropeIncluding:-• Reengineering of Local Area Networks, consolidating the Guest accessible WiFi network and corporate network to a single platform and supplier.• Upgrade of over 1000 devices from Windows 7 to Windows 10 including design, data migration (introducing OneDrive) and where required device replacement.• Replacement of Cisco Telephone platform and introduction of a true collaboration platform by migrating to Skype for Business, the key challenge being acceptance of soft phones.

Project managed the transition of IT infrastructure support from incumbent to replacement supplier including store helpdesk

Following the decision to split Bidvest Logistics from its parent company I was appointed to implement an independent IT platform.This included producing an IT budget model, producing both RFI and RFP, supplier selection and then managing transition. The solution included centralised desktop support infrastructure on a virtualised platform, replacement of the desktop devices and migration of the prime operational system from the parent company IT provider to the new Bidvest Logistics provider.

A 6 month contract in which I project managed the transition of IT Infrastructure support services from incumbent provider to Fujitsu including physical migration of over 200 servers and first line helpdesk with minimal business disruption
