I have over 35 years’ experience in the UK Bank/Non Bank Lending and Financial markets. With additional years spent in real estate and fund management .For last three years I have been part of the Exec team leading Shawbrook Bank as it transformed into a digital and customer centric organisation. During that period PBT rose from £197m to £302m and the total loan book grew to £13.3bn ( from £10.5bn). We delivered on several major projects including a full rebrand, the creation of a central database and single customer view, the bank wide Consumer Duty project, a new in-house mortgage origination and underwriting platform, re-platforming The Mortgage Lender, a new in-house retail savings platform, the acquisition of Bluestone Mortgages, launching several new funding relationships for non bank lenders, including Motor Finance for the first time while maintaining an amazing culture for our people. As the SMF1 for The Mortgage Lender (retail lending division) I was responsible for the strategy, compliance ,governance and risk management and reported into the Bank Group CEO.From a sales and marketing background I have specialised in transforming and differentiating brands.Introducing cutting edge CRM sales systems and integrated automated marketing for maximum sales efficiency in intermediated markets.I always believe in "Doing Different" to create competitive advantage.I am believe in using technology to drive the cost to serve down whilst improving the customer experience and utilising human skills where they are best served. I call this augmented intelligence.I have been brought on as an equity owner of two new UK specialist lenders to launch and drive their growth strategies ( both from start to £bn's per annum lending) through to two highly successful exits including maximising earn outs for all stakeholders. I have extensive experience in raising both equity ( multiple rounds) and debt through arranging warehouse lines, forward flow agreements and have executed multiple securitisations.I am a collaborative but highly driven servant leader who is obsessed with building amazing cultures for its people in customer centric businesses. As CEO of TML we launched a successful specialised lender, took on Growth capital from a bank, prospered through the pandemic, sold to Shawbrook Bank, grew from zero to over £1bn per annum of lending , from 0 to 232 FTE's ,responsible for 10% of Bank group profits.Transitioned over 12,000 of our borrowers from Libor and successfully delivered on an extremely diverse Consumer Duty project which is now fully embedded.
