I am a Clinical Psychologist working at the University of East Anglia as the Deputy Programme Director on the ClinPsyD (Doctorate in Clinical Psychology) programme. My clinical background is in working with patients who have severe mental health problems (including psychosis and personality disorder) and also histories of violent behaviour. Many of my trainees complete research projects looking at decision-making questions related to mental health and the legal system. We've got some exciting papers under development and I'm looking forward to seeing more of these published in due course. I have a professional interest in Mental Health Law and have led the development of a CPD programme in Mental Health Law here at UEA. I have experience in working as an Expert Witness for the courts and also acting as an Independent Author for a number of Safeguarding Adult Reviews.
