The books advocate for the conservation of public lands and inspire young readers to recognize the importance of protecting the natural environment.

Developed a Python-based algorithm to analyze P. macrocephalus (sperm whale) bioacoustic signals as well as to implement deep machine learning and neural network techniques in an effort to better understand the structure of sperm whale acoustic signals and vocalizations and to improve conservation strategies.Mentored by world-renowned marine biologist and National Geographic explorer/cinematographer, Dr. David Gruber. Collaborated with Dr. Shane Gero, founder of the Dominica Sperm Whale Project; Dr. Robert Wood, Charles River Professor of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University; Dr. Michael Bronstein, Chair in Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition at Imperial College London.

Constructed a robotic gantry system to test the “Squishy Finger” soft robotic hands that allow for enhanced sampling of delicate undersea marine specimens.Developed a MatLab program to control the robotic hand during aquarium-based tests.

Summer research under the mentorship of Professor Roberto Onofrio involved extensive instruction in quantum field theory, general relativity, and particle physics.Explored the renormalizability of quantum field theories by investigating the promotion of Pauli-Villars ghosts to physical degrees of freedom. Violations of unitarity associated with such negative-norm Lee Wick states could be suggestive of the production of mini black holes.

Term-time research involved developing computational models of biophysical protein fitness landscapes and protein evolutionary dynamics.
