My main responsibilities were to direct and co-ordinate quality control and assurance activities within company policies and procedures; control compliance to all licences, permit, quality and environmental related requirements; record, investigate and report all non-conformances and incidents, and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.; responsibility for quality of all products supplied form the plant; work with management to develop and provide a training regime for all members of the workforce in relevant aspects of quality and compliance; collate quality data and report various / yields and processes, computer reporting of KPI’s, selection and training of QC staff and customer relations and feedback..Achievements:• Computerised recording and reporting of all Quality Data• I provided an in-house training for all QC activities.• I introduced additional testing to assure incoming product met relevant standards• Led a customer focused approach to Quality for all employees

Working with the long term unemployed on the Work Program, I utilise my experience to guide and mentor clients into sustainable employment. Additionally, I help with general administration tasks and facilitate clients with their job searches, cv and letter writing requirements, and any other duties requested.

I worked for the Finance Director and was responsible for the management of the Production Office being responsible for all aspect of scheduling and despatch, using a fleet of trucks and arranging export. I managed a busy office and co-ordinated three (3) manufacturing areas, arranging machine loading and overtime.Achievements:• I regularly achieved or exceeded financial targets.• I was responsible for the accreditation and maintenance of the ISO9001 Quality System• I helped select, purchase, configure, install, and maintain both a Finite Capacity Scheduling System (Preactor) and a Quality System Management Package.

With Ferranti I began as a proof-reading, and developed my skills to subsequently lead my own Technical Publications Section where I was responsible for the co-ordinating, collating and eventual publishing all Technical and Commercial Manuals relating to the software / hardware provisions to the MoD, International airports and colleges. Achievements:• I wrote / edited a number of commercial and military proposals and handbooks.• I undertook the Network Administration of newly acquired Desktop Publishing facilities.
