Key activities have included:•Working as a member of the legal team on the first known planning alliance to involve lawyers (the Further North Alliance), assisting the NZ Transport Agency in successfully obtaining designations and resource consents from a Board of Inquiry for the Ara Tūhono Pūhoi to Wellsford Road of National Significance – Pūhoi to Warkworth Section.•Assisting a major industry sector client and a major retailer during the submissions and hearings phases of the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan, including attending mediations.•Assisting requiring authorities and submitters in resolving various Environment Court appeals on notices of requirement for designations, and applications for resource consents. •Assisting clients to draft and review plan provisions, and in resolving appeals against proposed plans and plan changes.•Preparing submissions and advising clients on bylaws and national policy documents.•Preparing development agreements, and co-operation agreements between consent applicants and iwi groups.•Working as part of a team of Chapman Tripp lawyers advising clients on various environmental due diligences and major transactions.
