So after going freelance, I continued with the exhibition stands but after a while and with a new client or two, I diversified into interiors as well. There'd been some showroom / museum design at Chapmans but these new projects were more varied, a huge bathroom showroom one week, a small take away the next and then a large office layout with reception after that..... All different, unique in their own way and thoroughly enjoyable to design. I'm confident that the scope of these designs has given me a range of experience that I can call on at anytime and, a body of work that I am proud of.

Graduated college with a distinction and went straight to Chapmans as the work experience there had been so positive. It was a truly great place to work, making some lifelong friends and I rose from Junior Designer to Design Studio Manager, finally going freelance in 2003. Before going freelance I had my own clients, designing and project managing their stand installations all over the world. We used to design and construct all the POS for the Halifax Building Society as well and, I also project managed through design, costing, build and the nationwide installation of POP units for Humbrol, Micro Machines and Pound Puppies. These were modular ( to fit various display bays in different chains ) shelf cladding units, individually not too big but we produced @ 1000 of them per job and fitted them across the country. Ultimately more logistics than design in the end but still a great experience.
