It aims to train and equip communities across the country with the skills to make a difference where they live.My primary role is to manage and co-ordinate the research provision of the project to help inform stakeholders on it's social impact as well as to provide a quality assurance mechanism to examine the strength and relevance of the programme's content.This has required using a variety of empirical and participatory methodologies in order to support the Big Lunch Extras programme as well as the ability to properly analyse and dissimulate large data sets including Indices of Multiple Deprivation.My role also includes travelling around the United Kingdom visiting participants and setting up workshops as well as advising and signposting participants within their specific projects in their communities. This involves advise on community development including ideas based around funding as well as using participatory methods to find needs in participant's communities to mobilise and strategise their projects, occasionally from scratch.
