Formerly director of Hypobank Ireland, a bank lending into various European countries largely in the real estate area. Former director of J Rothschild International Assurance plc, a life assurance company selling international wealth management products.

Advisor on real estate and corporate finance transactions following sale of the CFI Property Management business

Co-founder, director and shareholder of Corporate Finance Ireland, a leading Irish corporate finance and real estate advisory firm, until its sale in 2016.  Activities included fundraising, provision of strategic and financial advice to corporates, financial institutions and property developers and the syndication and management of real estate and renewable energy investments. Also involved in operating a small venture capital company backed by RBS.  Assets under management exceeded €500m at peak.

·     Established this as the Irish international operation of Credit Lyonnais.·     Activities including international lending, bond trading, loan sales, aircraft and equipment leasing and the provision of agency services such as treasury management to multinationals.·     Also responsible for Credit Lyonnais’ international leasing operation in Shannon.  Consistently profitable with assets exceeding $2 bn. ·     Served as Country Manager for Credit Lyonnais in Ireland.·     Responsible for transferring Credit Lyonnais Asian mutual funds to Dublin and the arrangement of their administration/custody with Bank of Bermuda.

Founding director of this company and key part of team which made this company the leading Irish international service provider at the time.·     Role included development/marketing of international services including structured finance and provision of agency services to overseas clients in corporate treasury, banking, leasing, securitisation and funds administration.  ·     Responsible for liaison with regulators including Irish Department of Finance.·     Acquisitions and joint ventures in international financial services and life assurance

Having joined as an Executive in 1982 rose to be the number two person in the Corporate Finance Department. ·       Work included M&A, project finance, flotations on the Dublin and London Stock Exchanges, capital raising, and involvement in strategy/special projects for the bank’s parent, AIB in Europe, US and Africa.

·     Following a period in auditing, worked with the Consultancy Division on management and systems development.
