While working as an active physician since 2004, I committed myself to study of mind/body/spirit integration and how that interfaces with individual health. My kundalini awakening led me on a spiritual journey and ultimately led me to a yogic path. Through this I gained exposure to the yogic sciences, Ayurveda, and Siddha medicine practices. I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with degrees in both Medicine and Public Health, and then trained at UCLA-Olive View in Emergency Medicine, receiving an excellent education and training in the latest of allopathic medicine. Through my individual studies of yoga, qi gong, spiritual psychology, various other disciplines, and a sustained commitment to personal development, I have developed a uniquely well rounded view of the human condition. In my studies with Paramahamsa Nithyananda and Nithyananda Hindu University I have explored innovations in the understanding of the biochemistry, epigenetics, and metabolism of enlightened consciousness. I have also been fortunate to apply academic rigor in the research of various mystical yogic phenomena. At this phase in my career, with nearly 20 years in mainstream medical academia, 20 years in personal development/wellness and 10 years in the yogic sciences, I am well qualified to teach or consult in any of these fields.
