As much an expert in the nuts and bolts of interfacing patient-attached medical devices to an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system as you'll find in a single person in the healthcare industry. I've been 30+ years at it so far. My work has been developing and maintaining software interfaces to dozens of different medical devices, implementing these interfaces at numerous hospitals and healthcare enterprises of every size, and supporting them in place and remotely. Protocols include ascii-encoded binary, ascii text-based, pure binary, HL7, ascii/binary combinations, bitfield, hexadecimal-ascii, C-structure network, CORBA. Transports: TCP/IP, RS232, UDP/IP, RS422.I also have experience in EMR interface engine development in the healthcare arena.
