Entered the heavy industry over 8 years ago after graduating the Water and waste water technicians diploma program at Algonquin College. Starting off at Domtar in Espanola Ont, I was able to aquire the necessary skills and abilities to ensure that I was always working with safety and production in mind. I was fortunate to have to opportunity to join the ERU (emergency first response) team at Domtar which gave me the skills needed to be a first responder. After joining the ERU and refining my skills, I decided to bring those skills with me into the field of voluntary fire fighting. In January of 2022, I applied for a shift supervisor position with Paper Excellence and was offered the job. I've enjoyed learning the practices and daily routines of the supervisor position and hope to bring those skills with me to my next opportunity in the work force.
